9 Reasons Why I Make Art
Why do you make art? Most creative people say they’ve made art for as long as they can remember. Sure, they have tried out many styles and supplies over the years, but they remain dedicated to giving expression to something deep inside. It feels good to put our emotions into something that explains how we feel.
This is why I make art…
I can’t help but make art. I was born to do this.
To communicate an idea or emotion. Creating art gives expression to my ideas and how I feel.
Art lifts my soul and gives me permission to dream.
Art brings beauty, pleasure, and happiness to my life! I love pretty things. Our world is not black & white.
Art is an escape from reality. I can dream while I create things - far away from the stresses of life.
Creating art refreshes me and gives me energy.
I want to connect with others through my art. I hope it encourages others and brings hope to them as it does to me.
To record or point out something that is meaningful to me or might be overlooked, and hope others see the same significance.
Images transport me back to the exact day, hour, minute which inspired the art, and I can relive the beauty of that moment.
